How it works · for builders

From your drawings to joinery on site, in six steps.

Estimate from your drawings, then a fixed price from the signed off design. Site measures are free for builders.

  1. 01

    Drawings and measure

Send your drawings and I'll give you an estimate. I can measure on site at no charge, or you send measurements and photos on our capture template (you sign them off).

  2. 02

    Design

I draw the job in Mozaik: the design and builder drawings from one system.

  3. 03

    Render

A photorealistic render shows you and your client exactly what you'll get. One revision round included.

  4. 04

    Sign off and fixed price

Once you and your client sign off the design, I price from it and that price is fixed. The payment milestone comes before anything is ordered.

  5. 05

    Supply

Made to the millimetre by an Australian manufacturer and delivered flat packed or pre assembled to site, whichever suits your job.

  6. 06

    Install (optional)

You install, or I install as your subcontractor, under your registration (see Service area below).

Two ways to work with us

We work for you.

Any client contact happens on your behalf and with your say so. The client relationship stays yours.

i.

Client liaison

I work with your client directly on layout, finishes, fixtures and fittings. On a big joinery package this can save you six to eight hours of consultation.

ii.

Straight design and supply

For spec homes, or when you're running your own brief. No client facing layer.

Pricing

Estimate from your drawings, then a fixed price from the signed off design.

No surprises: the payment milestone comes before anything is ordered.

Turnaround

Two to three weeks from sign off to delivery for standard packages. Up to five weeks for specialist finishes, such as painted or thermolaminated doors.

Service area

Mornington Peninsula based, working with builders on the Mornington Peninsula and across Melbourne. I install for builders within my local measuring area: wherever I measure, I install.

Insurance: Fully insured, certificate of currency on request.

The design in practice

A new layout for
a Brunswick home.

On a current home build in Brunswick, I redesigned the kitchen around how the family uses the space.

The full case study will follow when the job is finished, with its own renders and photographs.

Questions from builders

Before we get started.

Can you estimate from my drawings?

Yes. Send your working drawings and I'll give you an estimate. The final price is fixed once you and your client sign off the design.

Will you work directly with my client?

If you'd like me to, I'll work through layout, finishes, fixtures and fittings with them, on your behalf and with your say so. The relationship stays yours. I can also work straight from your brief if you'd prefer to handle the client conversation.

Who makes the joinery?

An Australian manufacturer I order through, cut on CNC from my design and delivered flat packed or pre assembled to site.

Can I provide my own measurements?

Yes. You can send measurements and photos on our capture template, which you sign off. Email me for the template, or get in touch about a free site measure for your builder project.

Will we see the design before ordering?

You'll see a photorealistic render, with one revision round included. You and your client sign off the design before anything is ordered.

How long does delivery take?

Two to three weeks from sign off to delivery for standard packages. Up to five weeks for specialist finishes, such as painted or thermolaminated doors.
